I think the only Spike Jonze film I have not seen is Where the Wild Things Are, and to be completely honest, I don't even know why.
I read about Jonze's process of writing and directing his latest film Her, in the last issue of New York Magazine. One could tell that Spike Jonze, sort of, creates his own little realities in his films (and music videos for that matter).
I personally cannot wait to see Her , "A Spike Jonze Love Story" as he decided to dub it; a film starring Joaquin Phoenix and in which he falls in love with an operating system. What struck me though is the fact that he drew inspiration (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) from a Todd Hido photograph titled "2563".
I also get a similar feel to that of the last scene in Lost in Translation, when Bill Murray whispered that "something" in Scarlett Johansson's ear. And get this, Spike Jonze was married to Sophia Coppola (Lost in Translation) and the voice of the operating system in Her is that of Scarlett Johansson. So there you go!
